It seems to be something like the safety sear employed on the WALTHER MPL, wich is, just like the STAR, a superb but underated submachine gun.<br />On the book "MILITARY SMALL ARMS OF THE 20th CENTURY" they are described as "conventional blowback guns", when they are, infact, much safer than UZIs, Berettas model 12 and MACs.<br />STAR seesaw type firing pins are free from out of battery discharges. Onthe other hand...
